Northfield Supporting Neighbors (NSN) seeks to support Rice county individuals and families facing financial hardship related to immigration status. Funds are prioritized for legal and legal-related fees (e.g. lawyer fees, USCIS filing fees, transportation to court out of state etc.). The main goal is to prevent deportation and family separation.

While NSN is not a specific program of Community Action Center (CAC), CAC does act as our fiscal agent. You may also make a confidential donation by sending a check to our fiscal agent: CAC at 1651 Jefferson Parkway. Please designate/note it with "NSN."

Our recent experiences have led us to focus our efforts on raising money to ensure that Habeas Corpus is petitioned in a timely manner while the detainee is still in Minnesota.
To support this new initiative directly, you can assemble a group of your friends and commit to paying up to $4,000 for one detainee’s habeas petition if called upon to do so: Email habeas@northfieldsupportingneighbors.org.
